About
Jean Anne Zollars has been a physical therapist since 1982, specializing in pediatrics, seating and mobility, and manual therapy. She holds an M.A. in rehabilitation technology from San Francisco State University and a clinical doctorate in physical therapy from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, and trained in neuro-developmental treatment in 1988. Her interest in specialized seating began while working in Malaysia in 1986, and she later worked in seating and mobility at the Rehabilitation Engineering Center at Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford, as well as in El Salvador, Nicaragua, Russia and Mexico. She has studied the work of Jean-Pierre Barral since 1992 and teaches visceral manipulation through the Barral Institute. In her Albuquerque private practice she treats children and adults, combining visceral, cranial, nerve and myofascial manipulation with neuro-developmental treatment and seating and mobility. She is the author of Special Seating: An Illustrated Guide and co-teaches an online Pediatric Seating and Mobility CEU course.
