About
Twisted Oak Medical Massage is a medical massage studio at 1311 13th Avenue in Conway, owned and staffed by licensed massage therapists Alicia Roberts and Travis Roberts. Alicia works from a medical, holistic point of view, using Graston tools for myofascial release, hot and cold stone contrast, TMJ techniques and stretching, and teaches in the massage therapy program at Horry-Georgetown Technical College. Alicia also holds certifications in phlebotomy, EKG and nursing assistance. Travis is a retired U.S. Navy veteran of 20 years, a certified Sarga Bodywork practitioner and a Level Four Reiki master and teacher with a biology degree. Both have volunteered with veterans living with PTSD and service injuries. Sessions draw on Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial and assisted stretching techniques, tailored to each client. Medical massage runs 60 to 150 minutes, Sarga barefoot bodywork 90 or 120 minutes, and Reiki 60 to 120 minutes. The studio also offers manual lymphatic drainage, chair massage, mobile Swedish massage and ear candling paired with head and neck massage or Reiki. New clients schedule a 30-minute intake at their first visit. The studio is open Tuesday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, with online booking.
