Tina Schaffner, DPT, OMPT, CLT, is Clinic Director and a Certified Rolfer at the Rochester Hills location of Neil King Physical Therapy. Tina earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan-Flint in 2009 and completed an Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (OMPT) program at Oakland University in 2015, after earlier experience in a large hospital system treating orthopedic, neurological and post-operative patients. Tina's additional training includes Herman & Wallace Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Levels I and II, LSVT BIG for Parkinson's, Muscle Energy Technique, Certified Lymphedema Therapist and STOTT Pilates instructor certification. The focus is on helping patients build awareness of their bodies and how they interact with their environment, with close communication among colleagues, other providers and family. Neil King Physical Therapy's pelvic program serves women and men for urinary incontinence, pelvic pain (including vulvodynia, vestibulodynia and chronic prostatitis), painful intercourse, constipation and fecal incontinence, prolapse, postpartum recovery including diastasis recti, and post-prostatectomy and erectile concerns. Methods include pelvic floor strengthening and relaxation, manual therapy, biofeedback, electrical stimulation, bladder retraining and guided breathing.
