Therapy Squad is a locally owned, therapist-run home health agency founded in the Rio Grande Valley in 2015, with its main office on N McColl Road in McAllen. Rather than treating children at a clinic, its physical, occupational and speech therapists visit families at home, serving babies, children and young people from birth to age 20. A physician referral is needed to begin, and the office can help families who do not yet have one. Physical therapy addresses balance, coordination, strength and range of motion for concerns such as torticollis, toe walking, cerebral palsy and orthopedic injuries. Occupational therapy works on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care and school readiness. Speech therapy covers articulation, language, fluency, voice, feeding and swallowing, and augmentative and alternative communication.
