Dr. Tessa Christy, PT, DPT, MTC, is the founder of PT Plus (PT+), a private physical therapy practice in Lodi, California that specializes in pelvic health. A Lodi native, she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Duke University in 2014, completed a Manual Therapy Certification in 2015 and became dry needling certified in 2016. With a background mostly in outpatient orthopedics, Tessa turned to pelvic health after having her daughter in 2021, completing multiple pelvic health courses and a mentorship program. She built a pelvic health program at a local hospital clinic before opening PT+. PT+ treats pregnancy and postpartum concerns, incontinence, urinary frequency and urgency, prolapse, endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, vaginismus, painful intercourse, post-prostatectomy recovery, pelvic pain, constipation, and low back, hip, sciatica and tailbone pain, as well as other musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Sessions are private and one-on-one with the same therapist, using a whole-body approach informed by orthopedics and a degree in psychology. Internal or external pelvic floor assessment is always the patient's choice. PT+ is out-of-network and does not bill insurance; superbills are available on request. Payment by cash, check, credit card, HSA/FSA, Venmo, Zelle or PayPal. Telehealth is offered to patients in California and Colorado.
