Dr. Sheron Dsouza, PT, DPT, is the founder of Purple Physical Therapy & Wellness, a pelvic health practice serving Fairfield, Litchfield and New Haven Counties in western Connecticut. Dr. Dsouza works with adults of all genders and combines an orthopedic background with advanced pelvic health training. The practice treats pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain, leakage, prolapse, bladder and bowel concerns, sexual health and pain with intimacy, prenatal and postpartum concerns, and pelvic changes in perimenopause and menopause. Care is hands-on and one-on-one, with an emphasis on education so patients can take an active role in their recovery. Beyond the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, Dr. Dsouza has advanced training in pregnancy and postpartum corrective exercise, visceral mobilization, dry needling and craniosacral therapy. Treatment can also include manual therapy such as soft tissue and myofascial release, cupping and scar tissue massage, plus therapeutic exercise. Purple PT uses a hybrid model with both in-home visits and in-clinic appointments, and offers flexible scheduling Monday through Saturday. Appointments are booked by phone or email.
