Sarah Kostyukovsky, PT, DPT, OCS, is the founder of Flow Physiotherapy, a physical therapy practice in Richmond, Virginia specialized in pelvic floor dysfunction. She founded Flow in Brooklyn, New York in 2019 and relocated to Richmond in 2022. Raised in the Richmond area, she studied Kinesiology at the University of Virginia and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Columbia University in 2011. She gained orthopedic experience at the Hospital for Special Surgery and became an APTA Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) in 2016. Her pelvic floor training includes coursework through the APTA Section on Pelvic Health, Herman & Wallace, the Institute for Birth Healing and courses with Kathe Wallace. She also draws on Pilates training and her own pregnancy and postpartum experience. Sarah treats pelvic pain (coccydynia, pubic symphysis dysfunction, dyspareunia, vulvodynia, vaginismus, endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, pudendal neuralgia), urinary and fecal incontinence, urgency and frequency, prolapse, post-operative pelvic recovery, diastasis recti, and pregnancy and postpartum concerns including labor prep and C-section or perineal scars, as well as orthopedic conditions. Sessions are 60 minutes and combine manual therapy and exercise therapy with an emphasis on Pilates-based rehabilitation. Virginia allows direct access, and a 15-minute phone consultation is offered.
