Dr. Ryanne Tanae Glasper, PT, DPT, practices at The Body School in Silver Spring, Maryland, and sees clients bi-monthly at the Body In Balance Center in Alexandria, Virginia. She earned a BA in Dance and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Long Island University, graduating with her DPT in 2008, and is a certified yoga instructor (NOWYoga). As an orthopedic and pelvic health therapist, she treats musculoskeletal conditions and pelvic health concerns including bowel and bladder disorders, perineal pain, dysmenorrhea, pain with intercourse, vulvodynia and vestibulitis. Her background is in dance medicine; she spent ten years at PhysioArts Physical Therapy in New York and founded the Danseur Project for dance medicine practitioners. Her approach, which she calls embodied and functional therapy, combines breath and movement, Functional Manual Therapy (more than 150 hours of training with the Institute of Physical Art), internal pelvic floor work when needed, and motor control training. Sessions are one-on-one for at least 60 minutes, in person or online. The practice is out-of-network, does not participate with Medicare, accepts FSA/HSA, and offers an income-based financial hardship program. Appointments are by appointment only and can be booked online.
