About
Dr. Michelle Koval, PT, DPT, PRPC, is the founder and owner of Pillar Pelvic Health in Cincinnati's Hyde Park / Mt. Lookout area. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Northwestern University in 2009 and became a Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certified (PRPC) through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute in 2020. Michelle works with people of all genders experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction, bladder and bowel concerns, sexual health concerns, pregnancy and postpartum changes, core weakness and difficulty returning to activity. She has a particular interest in helping people get back to running, lifting and movement without symptoms. Her own path into pelvic health began after the birth of her first child. Her approach is hands-on, movement-focused and whole-body centered, using manual therapy, visceral mobilization, dry needling, cupping, exercise and functional movement strategies when appropriate. She is certified in dry needling and is a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES). The clinic provides one-on-one care for all genders and ages, including perimenopause and menopause and men's pelvic health such as post-prostatectomy recovery. Ohio allows direct access, so no referral is required.
