About
McAllen Orthodontic Group is a bilingual family orthodontic practice in the Northtowne Center on North 10th Street in McAllen, and has served families in McAllen and Edinburg for more than 30 years. Dr. Joseph K. Ryan, DDS, MSD, a McAllen native and board-certified orthodontist, joined the group in 2017. He earned his dental degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and his orthodontic certificate and master's degree at Nova Southeastern University. The office includes a small movie theater, a snack bar and a play area. Treatment covers metal and clear braces, Spark clear aligners, two-phase and early treatment for children, care for teens and adults, TMJ and TMD treatment, TADs, surgical orthodontics, retainers and emergency visits, with iTero digital scanning. Most major dental insurance plans are accepted, and the team files claims and checks benefits. No-interest financing and family discounts are available. The office is open Monday through Thursday, with early morning hours on most days, and patients can call or text.
