Dr. Mary Ruggieri, DPT, is a pelvic floor physical therapist at Gulf Coast Pelvic Health & Wellness Center in North Naples, a practice led by Lesley Jones, MPT. Originally from Northeast Ohio, Mary earned a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences from Ohio State University and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami, graduating with honors. She pursued advanced continuing education and clinical experience in pelvic floor dysfunction, including APTA Pelvic Health Levels 1 and 2, Herman & Wallace gastrointestinal visceral fascia mobilization, and Pelvic Health Solutions coursework on pregnancy and pelvic girdle pain. The center treats women and men for tailbone pain, constipation, painful periods, painful intercourse, endometriosis-related pain, erectile dysfunction, fecal and urinary incontinence, interstitial cystitis, pelvic organ prolapse, pudendal neuralgia, vaginismus, vulvodynia, low back, SI joint and hip pain, and prenatal and postpartum care. Mary's practice also includes orthopedic, gastrointestinal and neurological conditions as they relate to the pelvic floor. Care is one-on-one in a private setting with individualized, evidence-based plans and an emphasis on education and long-term self-management. The center offers myofascial release therapy, 30-minute virtual consultations and online booking, as well as a mentorship program for clinicians.
