Dr. Leslyn Spaulding, PT, DPT, runs an integrative physical therapy practice in Lexington, Kentucky, with appointments one day a week in Mt Sterling. She earned her BHS in physical therapy from the University of Kentucky in 1993 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Utica College in 2011, and has 33 years of hands-on physical therapy experience. She is Expert-level trained in the John F. Barnes' Myofascial Release Approach and has extensive training in pelvic health and craniosacral therapy. Her pelvic health work includes internal evaluation and treatment when appropriate, with informed consent, within a whole-body assessment, and is often used for chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis-related pain, bladder problems, postpartum recovery, post-surgical concerns and scars, including mastectomy scars. Sessions begin with a detailed history and whole-body evaluation, focusing first on calming the nervous system before gentle, sustained work on restricted tissue. She also treats back and neck pain, disc problems, scoliosis, headaches and migraines, TMJ, nerve entrapment, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and long-standing tension. The practice does not take insurance; payment is due at the time of service and a superbill can be provided on request (excluding Medicare and Medicaid).
