About
Leann M. Croft, PT, MSPT, founded HOPE Physical Therapy in Bloomington (originally Croft Physical Therapy, opened in 2004). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Illinois State University and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami. Her pelvic floor rehabilitation education began in 2001, she interned with Rhonda Kotarinos and Bernadette Kamin, and she began practicing pelvic floor rehabilitation in their Chicagoland offices in 2002. For the first twelve years of her career Leann treated exclusively pelvic floor dysfunction in women, men and children; in 2017 the practice expanded to hands-on care for chronic pain and was renamed HOPE (Hands-On Pain Elimination). The clinic treats urinary leakage, frequency, urgency and retention, bowel problems, erectile dysfunction, pain with intercourse, pelvic organ prolapse, genital, rectal and abdominal pain, pregnancy and postpartum pain, and pediatric incontinence or constipation, as well as back and neck pain, headaches, scar tissue pain, fibromyalgia, sciatica and TMJ disorder. Treatment is manual therapy, including myofascial release, soft tissue and joint mobilization, IASTM, cupping, trigger point release, dry needling, strain-counterstrain and manual lymphatic drainage, with home exercises demonstrated. Appointments are one hour. Leann is a member of the APTA and its Pelvic Health section, the Endometriosis Association and the International Pelvic Pain Society. The clinic accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and offers a self-pay option.
