Dr. Laura Nice, DPT, NCPT (she/her) is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and pelvic floor physical therapist who runs The Nice Physio in Spokane, Washington, with a focus on women's health across the lifespan. Laura graduated from the University of Utah in 2013 and has worked in a women's health clinic, sports and orthopedics, and as the physical therapist for a professional ballet company. Laura treats urinary leakage, urgency and frequency, difficulty emptying, pelvic pain, painful periods and sex, tailbone pain, constipation, diastasis recti, prolapse, endometriosis, and back and hip pain. Perinatal care includes birth preparation and postpartum recovery after C-sections and perineal tears. She also treats breast cancer recovery and lymphedema using complete decongestive therapy. Her certifications include Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (Sarah Duvall), Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (Polestar Pilates Practitioner) and Certified Lymphedema Therapist (Norton), with additional training in Strain Counterstrain, NAIOMT joint mobilization and KLOSE breast cancer rehab. Sessions are a full hour with Laura and combine mindful movement, Pilates and yoga-based exercise, hands-on care and education. Internal pelvic floor assessment is recommended for many diagnoses but never required. The practice has Balanced Body Pilates equipment and a gym, and Laura can make home visits for people who live or work on the South Hill.
