Laura Flood, PT, DPT, RYT, is an Australian-born physical therapist, yoga instructor and the founder of Lotus Flower Physio in Bend, Oregon, where she has been based since 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science (Honors) from Deakin University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Regis University (2013), completed 200-hour vinyasa yoga teacher training in 2014, and has pelvic training through Herman & Wallace, the Institute for Birth Healing, Holistic Pelvic Care (Tami Lynn Kent, Levels 1 and 2) and integrated visceral techniques. Laura specializes in pre- and postnatal care: birth and labor prep sessions with partner coaching, recovery from vaginal or cesarean birth, pregnancy-related pain in the pelvis, back, hips, ribs and tailbone, diastasis recti, prolapse, hernias, vulvar varicosities, scar pain, breast issues such as clogged ducts, and pain with sexual activity. She also treats bladder leaking, urgency and frequency, bowel function, constipation and hemorrhoids, menstrual and hormonal-transition pain, and musculoskeletal and fascial imbalances of the pelvis, spine, hips and ribs. Her approach blends evidence-based physical care with somatic practices, visceral mobilization, myofascial balancing, nervous system support and trauma-informed care, and the practice also offers yoga classes.
