Dr. Katie Hedlund, PT, DPT, is a pelvic floor physical therapist and the owner of Mobile Mom Physical Therapy in Lincoln, Nebraska. She graduated from the physical therapy program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and works only with women, with a focus on pregnancy, birth preparation and postpartum recovery. Her approach centers on Postural Restoration (PRI), which looks at how breathing, posture and movement patterns affect the core and pelvic floor. She treats urinary leakage, prolapse and pelvic heaviness, pelvic and pelvic girdle pain, painful intercourse, constipation, diastasis recti, scar adhesions, sciatica and back, hip, rib and neck pain, and supports clients with a breech presenting baby. She is also trained in Functional Dry Needling and uses cupping. Every session is 55-60 minutes, one-on-one with Dr. Katie, never with an aide or another therapist. Care is offered in her treatment room inside Vital Health Massage and Wellness, by virtual visit, or as mobile visits in Lincoln. No physician prescription is needed to start, and evaluations are typically booked one to two weeks out.
