Dr. Jennifer Nelson, DPT, DScPT, runs JenFitter, a holistic physical therapy, coaching and yoga practice with its primary office in Winona, Minnesota and limited hours in Rochester. Dr. Jen has practiced since 2008 and works especially with people who have persistent pain, hypermobility and autonomic dysfunction. She treats the whole body, including the pelvic floor, vertigo and dizziness, and neck, jaw and head problems, and also addresses sleep and breathing. Conditions treated include pelvic floor pain, urinary incontinence, prenatal and postpartum concerns, autonomic dysfunction, POTS, hypermobility syndrome, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, vertigo and BPPV, TMJ dysfunction, headaches, whiplash and neck pain, and hip, back and joint pain. Treatment combines manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, motivational interviewing, dry needling, exercise and yoga programming, and health coaching. Sessions are 50 minutes. Dr. Jen graduated from the Mayo School of Health Sciences in 2008 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy and earned a Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy from Andrews University in 2017. She completed the NAIOMT fellowship and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists in 2016. She took Herman & Wallace pelvic floor coursework, including male pelvic floor training, and also trained in Myopain dry needling, pain science (ISPI) and craniofacial therapy (CRAFTA). Her certifications include CMPT, COMT, CMTPT (dry needling), FSN practitioner and CEAS I, plus registered yoga teacher training. Visits are offered in person in Winona (inside Natural Balance Massage & Wellness) and Rochester, as home visits in the Winona area, and by telehealth for people in Minnesota, Illinois and Arizona. Virtual consultations and coaching are open to anyone.
