Dr. Janine Bobby Ellison, PT, DPT, RYT, is a women's health physical therapist and therapeutic yoga teacher and the owner of Full Bloom Physio in South Knoxville, Tennessee. After serving 12 years in the Air National Guard, she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine, and she has additional pelvic health rehabilitation training through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute along with a specialization in pelvic health yoga. Full Bloom Physio treats female pelvic floor dysfunction, abdominal surgery recovery, prenatal and postpartum rehab, chronic pelvic pain such as endometriosis and interstitial cystitis, sexual dysfunction, urinary leaks and urgency, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse and diastasis recti. Programs include birth preparation, a signature postpartum recovery program, pelvic and abdominal rehab, and virtual pelvic PT and coaching. Care blends manual therapy, therapeutic yoga and functional strength training, with attention to daily movement, sleep, nutrition and mindset. Visits are private, one-on-one sessions with Dr. Janine of 60 minutes or more (initial evaluations 90-120 minutes). Pelvic exams are done in a side-lying position without stirrups or speculum, and only with consent. The practice is in-network with several insurance companies and also offers a transparent self-pay rate; no physician referral is needed in Tennessee.
