Izabela Adamus, PT, is a licensed physical therapist and the practitioner at Wholistic Therapeutics, a private clinic in the Chicago suburb of Hickory Hills. Izabela earned a master's degree in physical therapy from the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice, Poland, in 1992 and has worked in clinical settings in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Illinois since 1994. The practice centers on the John Barnes Myofascial Release Approach, which Izabela has studied since 1996, combined with craniosacral therapy, visceral mobilization and energy medicine. Pelvic floor physical therapy at the clinic evaluates and treats the muscles and fascia of the pelvic floor for bladder issues, painful bowel movements or constipation, and pain during or after sex. The clinic also sees people with chronic pain, back and neck pain, fibromyalgia, headaches, mastectomy-related tightness and many other conditions. In 2020 Izabela became a Certified Body Awake RYT 200 Yoga Teacher through the Morter Institute. Every session is one-on-one for the full visit. The clinic accepts Medicare, BCBS, workers' compensation and some auto insurance, and provides records for out-of-network reimbursement.
