Dr. Irina Mikheyeva, DO, is a board-certified gynecologist at the Gravesend, Brooklyn location of Century Medical and Dental Center, a multi-specialty Article 28 clinic. She has practiced gynecology since 1988. She earned her medical degree from Kharkov State Medical University in 1983, completed post-graduate training in obstetrics and gynecology at the Kharkov Medical Academy, and later earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York, with residency training at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. She speaks English, Ukrainian and Russian. She cares for women's health concerns including incontinence and overactive bladder, issues related to childbirth, hormonal imbalances, fertility issues, menstrual concerns, post-menopausal bleeding, birth control and STDs. Tests and procedures include pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound, pessary fitting and insertion, urodynamic testing, Pap smears, breast exams, bone density testing, IUD insertion and removal, endometrial biopsy, D&C, tubal ligation and hysterectomy. The clinic is open seven days a week with evening hours and accepts most insurance, including Medicaid and Medicare, as well as Care Credit financing.
