Innovative Therapy PC is a Dallas physical therapy practice founded by Mary Thomas, PT, who opened her own practice in 1998 and has treated more than 7,000 patients. She graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Montana and specializes in pain management and complex orthopedic cases, working with patients ranging from infants to people in their nineties, including cancer survivors managing the after-effects of treatment. Care is one-on-one and offered both in person at the clinic on Montfort Drive and through virtual visits. The practice treats back, neck, shoulder, knee, hip, elbow and foot pain, headaches, sciatica, post-operative recovery after joint replacement, and pelvic pain and incontinence. A major focus is lymphedema care, combining manual lymphatic drainage, compression bandaging and garments, and targeted exercise, and the clinic supplies compression products such as mediven and Circaid garments along with wound care supplies. Other services include scar release therapy using microcurrent point stimulation (Dolphin Neurostim), C-section scar work, vagus nerve stimulation and pelvic balancing. Mary's approach uses structured movement testing and a scoring system to guide a treatment plan that addresses subconscious movement patterns as well as muscles and joints, and she developed the BODi Power System exercise program. Her advanced manual training includes Chikly Institute Lymph Drainage Therapy levels 1-3, Lymphatic and Lymph-Related Chronic Conditions, Lymph Drainage Advanced, Brain Curriculum level 1 and Heart-Centered Therapy levels 1-2. Typical sessions run 45 to 60 minutes.
