Health & Hope Institute is the East Orlando practice of Dr. Claudia Chica, a physical therapist and acupuncture physician (Doctor of Oriental Medicine). She earned her physical therapy degree from Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia, in 1989 and trained as an acupuncture physician at the Neijing School in 1991. Her further Oriental Medicine studies include Japanese meridian acupuncture with Kiiko Matsumoto, extraordinary meridians with Miki Shima, and Five Element acupuncture. Dr. Chica combines Oriental medicine (acupuncture, Toyohari and pediatric Shonishin acupuncture, herbal medicine and nutrition) with gentle manual therapies. Her Chikly Health Institute training includes Lymph Drainage Therapy (LDT1-3, LDTA1), lymph-fascia and primo-vascular work, the chronic fatigue/fibromyalgia program, the Clinical Symposium, and Brain Therapy (B1-B4, BEMC, BR). She also offers Barral visceral, neural and vascular manipulation and craniosacral therapy. The clinic also provides regenerative injection procedures, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP), prolotherapy and ozone (Prolozone) injections. Visits are by scheduled appointment because each one starts with a detailed evaluation.
