Dr. Hailey Colbert is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and the founder of Phocus Physical Therapy in Wilmington, North Carolina. She has treated patients since 2015, earned her doctorate from Governors State University, and became a certified Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner (PRPC) through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute in 2021. She founded Phocus in 2024 and later relocated the practice from the Chicago area to Wilmington. The practice treats orthopedic and pelvic health conditions in men, women and nonbinary patients, including bladder and urinary issues, bowel dysfunction and constipation, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, and men's concerns such as prostatitis, pre- and post-prostatectomy care, erectile dysfunction and testicular or penile pain. Her areas of expertise include manual therapy, visceral mobilization, bladder retraining, pre- and postnatal care and individualized exercise, with an emphasis on functional, movement-based training rather than Kegels alone. Every session is 60 minutes and one-on-one with the same Doctor of Physical Therapy. Phocus is an out-of-network, self-pay practice: it does not bill insurance, accepts HSA/FSA cards and provides superbills. In-person, virtual and in-home evaluations are offered, along with a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation and a postpartum fitness readiness screen. No physician referral is needed in North Carolina.
