Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP) The Genesis Behavioral Health Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program is an evidenced-based, professionally directed, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery program provided to adolescents and their caregivers who are in need of mental health or substance use services in an organized outpatient setting. Adult Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP) The Genesis Behavioral Health Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides structured therapy groups with a holistic focus on mind, body, and spirit. With an emphasis on treating mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders, our adult IOP program is specifically tailored to young adults ages 18-25 who are struggling with autonomy and independence, family-related issues, mild substance use issues, and phase of life difficulties. WHAT MAKES GENESIS UNIQUE? We collaborate with outpatient providers throughout the treatment process. Clients must continue to see their individual therapist and psychiatrist during treatment to maintain the therapeutic relationship for continuity of care. We offer medication management services in our Metairie office and through telehealth. We believe that involvement with parents and caregivers is crucial when accomplishing positive outcomes. Our adolescent program incorporates a weekly parent meeting that focuses on skills to help parents learn how to set boundaries, validate, and communicate with their adolescents. Our adult program has weekly family sessions for 1.5 hours with clients and their parents and/or caregivers.
