Dr. Erin Tanner is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and the owner and founder of Breakthrough Physical Therapy, located at The Well: A Center for Women's Wellness in Kettering, Ohio. She earned a B.S. in Exercise & Movement Science from the University of Cincinnati and her DPT from Southwest Baptist University, and began as a general orthopedic physical therapist before pursuing advanced pelvic health training. She works with women preparing for childbirth and recovering postpartum, and treats pelvic pain and pressure, pain with intimacy, bladder leakage, urgency and frequency, bowel concerns and constipation, pelvic organ prolapse and heaviness, pelvic floor tension and core dysfunction, and breastfeeding concerns such as clogged milk ducts. Men are also seen for pelvic pain, back and hip pain, and post-surgical recovery. Care is one-on-one and whole-body, with movement and posture assessment, breathing and nervous system support, gentle manual therapy, dry needling and visceral manipulation. Internal exams are never required and are discussed beforehand. Breakthrough PT is cash-based and does not bill insurance directly; superbills are provided for out-of-network reimbursement and HSA/FSA funds are typically accepted. Pelvic health evaluations run up to two hours. A short discovery call is available before booking.
