About
Dr. Erica Michitsch, PT, DPT, WCS, is co-owner of Solstice Physiotherapy and sees patients at its Midtown Manhattan and Long Island locations. She earned a BS in Biology from Villanova University and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Rutgers University, and is a Women's Health Clinical Specialist (WCS) through the APTA. Early in her career she developed and launched a pelvic floor therapy program. Her training includes Polestar Pilates teaching certification, instrument-assisted soft tissue certification, endometriosis physical therapy (iCareBetter), a Pelvic Guru pelvic health sexuality counseling certificate, low pressure fitness and hypopressives, dry needling, visceral mobilization and TMD evaluation. She is a member of the APTA and the International Pelvic Pain Society and has published in JOSPT. Solstice Physiotherapy specializes in pelvic health, including pelvic floor dysfunction, pregnancy and postpartum care, endometriosis, men's health, bladder and bowel issues, perimenopause and menopause, sexual health, surgery recovery, transgender health, orthopedic care, TMJ and pediatric pelvic health. Initial evaluations last about an hour. The practice is out of network and bills out-of-network benefits on the patient's behalf.
