Dr. Brooke Baker, PT, DPT, is a pelvic floor physical therapist and the founder of Pelvic Harmony Physical Therapy, a women's pelvic health practice serving New Braunfels, Bulverde, San Marcos and Canyon Lake, Texas. Her practice focuses on pregnancy, birth preparation, postpartum recovery and sexual dysfunction. Pelvic Harmony treats prenatal aches and pains, pelvic organ prolapse, painful periods, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, interstitial cystitis, urinary and bowel urgency, fecal leakage, hemorrhoids, constipation, pain with intercourse (including vaginismus, vulvodynia and dyspareunia), low back and pelvic pain, sacroiliac and pubic symphysis pain, C-section recovery and diastasis recti. Care can begin in the early weeks after birth, with internal assessments held until cleared by an OB or midwife. Evaluations and follow-ups are one-hour, one-on-one sessions. Methods include manual therapy, dry needling, cupping and myofascial release, biofeedback, nervous system support and individualized exercise plans, with an optional internal exam given only with consent. Brooke is also a Spinning Babies Parent Educator and offers Spinning Babies parent classes. Pelvic Harmony is a cash-based, mobile practice: the therapist travels to clients' homes, with in-clinic visits available at select locations. Payment is due at each visit, and a superbill can be provided for insurance reimbursement; HSA/FSA is listed. A 15-minute phone consultation can be booked online before a full evaluation.
