Dr. Brittaney Sargent, OTD, OTR/L, BCB-PMD, is the founder of Bloom Pelvic Therapy, a pelvic floor therapy practice with locations in Lutz, South Tampa and St. Petersburg, Florida. She is an adjunct professor in Nova Southeastern University's Doctor of Occupational Therapy program, her alma mater, and holds board certification in biofeedback for pelvic muscle dysfunction (BCB-PMD). As an occupational therapist, Brittaney focuses on how pelvic symptoms affect habits, roles, routines and the activities people value. She helps women and men with pelvic floor dysfunction and leads workshops and community talks to make conversations about pelvic health less taboo. Bloom treats pelvic pain, pain with intercourse, tailbone pain, interstitial cystitis, lichen sclerosus, dyssynergia, prolapse, constipation, fecal and urinary incontinence, and men's pelvic pain and leaking. Pregnancy care covers symphysis pubis dysfunction, round ligament pain, labor and birth preparation, perineal massage and pushing mechanics; postpartum care covers diastasis recti, C-section recovery, return to exercise and core weakness. Pessary fittings are available. Sessions are about an hour, one-on-one, in private treatment rooms, with internal work optional. New patients start with a short phone call to book their first visit.
