Advanced Massage Therapies is a massage practice on S. Milledge Avenue in the Five Points area of Athens, Georgia. Owner Robert Klein, LMT (GA license MT002852), has practiced massage therapy in Athens since 1985 and focuses on pain relief through medical massage, deep tissue, neuromuscular, trigger point and sports massage. Klein trained at the Florida School of Massage, completed advanced neuromuscular certification through Paul St. John Seminars, and studied lymphatic drainage with the Chikly Institute. He has trained in CranioSacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute since 1990, including clinical externships and work as a teaching assistant. He was also active in the AMTA Georgia Chapter's government relations work around the state's 2005 Massage Therapy Practice Act. The practice also offers pregnancy massage, energy work and sound therapy. Cindy Reilly, LMT, practices alongside Klein with Swedish, deep tissue, side-lying, pregnancy, reflexology, Lomi Lomi, warm stone and sound bowl sessions. Appointments are by request.
