About this event

Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes is the American Diabetes Association's community walk in Houston, held at the scenic Water Works area of Buffalo Bayou Park. Running from about 9:15 AM to 11:00 AM, the event brings together people living with diabetes, their families, friends, and workplace teams for a morning of movement and community along the bayou. Funds raised support diabetes research, education, and advocacy to help the millions of Americans affected by type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes. The walk is accessible and welcoming to all fitness levels, with a supportive, encouraging atmosphere and information about healthy living and diabetes management. Registration is free and fundraising is encouraged. Whether you are walking to support a loved one, managing diabetes yourself, or simply want to get active for a good cause in one of Houston's most beautiful green spaces, this is a positive, family-friendly community event.
