About this event

El Paso's Walk to End Alzheimer's gathers the West Texas community at Ascarate Park to raise awareness and funds in the fight against Alzheimer's and other dementias. Activities begin at 9:00 AM, followed by the opening ceremony at 10:00 AM and the walk starting at 10:30 AM. Presented by the Alzheimer's Association, the event honors those living with dementia, supports the caregivers who care for them, and remembers loved ones lost. Participants take part in the signature Promise Garden ceremony, carrying colored flowers that represent each person's connection to the disease. Registration is free and open to all ages, with fundraising encouraged; walkers who raise at least $100 receive an official Walk T-shirt. The event also connects families with the Association's free local programs, caregiver resources, support groups, and 24/7 Helpline. Set in one of El Paso's largest parks, it offers an accessible, family-friendly, and supportive community morning.
