About this event
The Dallas/Fort Worth Out of the Darkness Community Walk unites the Metroplex in support of suicide prevention and mental health. Organized by the North Texas chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, this walk brings together thousands of people who have been touched by suicide or mental illness, along with supporters and allies, to walk side by side in a spirit of remembrance and hope. The event provides a safe, welcoming space to honor loved ones lost, stand with survivors, and connect with mental health resources and community organizations. Registration is free and there is no minimum to participate; fundraising is encouraged to power AFSP's research, education, advocacy, and survivor programs. Teams from schools, workplaces, and families are common, and the atmosphere is supportive and healing. Visit the registration page closer to the date for the exact start time and venue within the DFW area.
