About this event
The Dallas Heart Walk is the American Heart Association's flagship community event in North Texas, a family-friendly morning celebrating healthy living and the power of moving together. Held at Levy Event Plaza in the Las Colinas area of Irving, the event offers both a 1-mile and a 5K route so participants of every fitness level can take part. Beyond the walk, the festival features children's activities, heart-health education, hands-only CPR demonstrations, survivor stories, live entertainment, and photo opportunities. The event doubles as a citywide push to improve CPR readiness, since the vast majority of people who suffer cardiac arrest outside a hospital do not survive without bystander intervention. Registration is free and open to individuals, families, and workplace teams; participants are encouraged to fundraise to support cardiovascular research and community programs. Come out to move, learn lifesaving skills, and celebrate survivors.
