About this event
Each Labor Day, Free Day of Yoga fills Austin with free yoga classes as studios across the city open their doors at no charge. The idea is simple and welcoming: give people who have never tried yoga an easy, no-cost way to take a first class, and give current practitioners a chance to explore new studios, teachers, and styles. The day typically features a large roster of instructors leading well over a hundred free classes, ranging from gentle and restorative to dynamic flows, spread from early morning to evening, with online classes available for those joining from home. There is no fee to attend and no experience required; all levels are welcome. Participants sign up through the event website for in-person or virtual sessions, and many studios also accept walk-ins depending on space.
