About this event
The Ford Holiday River Parade kicks off the holiday season on the San Antonio River Walk with a magical evening of illuminated floats gliding down the river, live entertainment, and the ceremonial lighting of more than 200,000 lights that brighten the River Walk through early January. The 2026 parade carries the theme "Holiday Wishes Come True," with festivities beginning near the Tobin Center and a broadcast from the Arneson River Theatre. It is a cherished San Antonio tradition and a joyful, family-friendly way to start the holidays. You can watch for free from public River Walk vantage points, while reserved bleacher and dinner-package seating is available for purchase. Crowds are large, so arrive early and plan for downtown parking.
