About this event
Now in its 14th year, San Antonio Muertos Fest is a free, three-day Day of the Dead celebration at Hemisfair honoring the tradition of remembering loved ones through art, music, and community. The festival features an extensive exhibition of community altars, live music and entertainment across four stages, a striking drum-and-puppet procession, live poetry, workshops, and children's crafts. A Muertos Mercado gathers 80-plus small businesses, with an emphasis on women- and Latino-owned makers, alongside food and beverage options. Sensory-friendly hours are offered Friday from 5-7 p.m. The event is free, dog-friendly, ADA accessible, and rain-or-shine. Because downtown parking is limited, VIA Park & Ride is encouraged.
