About this event
NAMIWalks Central Texas is the region's signature mental-health awareness and community-support event, hosted by NAMI Central Texas at the Palmer Events Center in Austin. Now in its 21st year, the morning runs roughly 8:00 a.m. to noon with the walk beginning around 9:00 a.m. Thousands come together to break the stigma around mental health conditions, celebrate recovery, and remember loved ones lost. Beyond the walk, expect a resource fair connecting attendees to local mental-health services, peer support and NAMI's free education programs, plus family-friendly activities and personalized walker bibs honoring those affected by mental illness. There is no fee to register and no fundraising minimum, but funds raised keep NAMI Central Texas's support groups, classes and helpline free for the community. Whether you live with a mental-health condition, support someone who does, or simply want to show solidarity, all are welcome.
