About this event
It's My Park Day is Austin Parks Foundation's biannual, community-led day of service, held each March and November across all 10 Austin city council districts. On this fall date, hundreds of volunteers fan out to dozens of parks, greenbelts and trails from 9:00 AM to noon for hands-on projects such as litter cleanup, tree mulching, invasive-species removal, riparian-zone restoration and trail maintenance. Projects are family-friendly and organized by park, so you sign up online for the specific site and task you want. It's a free, feel-good way to give back to Austin's green spaces alongside your neighbors - just bring water, sun protection and closed-toe shoes; tools and guidance are provided.
