About this event
The Texasman Triathlon is a friendly, well-established multisport race on the shores of Lake Ray Roberts at the Johnson Branch Unit near Valley View, welcoming newcomers, veterans and relay teams alike. Athletes can choose from a Sprint Triathlon (400-yard swim, 17.5-mile bike, 5K run), an Olympic Triathlon (1-mile swim, 22-mile bike, 10K run), the longer X-50 (1-mile swim, 40-mile bike, 9-mile run), an X-50 Aqua-bike or a Sprint Duathlon. The event features an open-water lake swim, a rural bike course on roads open to traffic, and a shaded run, capped by a post-race party with pancakes. It's a supportive, small-town-feel race that's a popular pick for first-time triathletes.
