Houston Methodist Turkey Trot

A beloved Thanksgiving morning tradition, the Houston Methodist Turkey Trot draws thousands of runners, walkers, and families to Uptown Houston near The Galleria. Held on Thanksgiving Day, the event offers a 10K Run/Walk starting at 7:30 AM, a 5K Run/Walk at 8:00 AM, a Kids' Run at 9:00 AM, and a virtual option for those who want to participate from home. It is a festive, inclusive way to start the holiday active, welcoming experienced runners, beginners, and families with strollers alike. The route winds through the Uptown/Galleria area, and the event typically sells out, so early registration is recommended. Because this is a timed race with amenities, there is a registration fee that increases as the event nears; kids' and virtual entries are lower cost. Come out for a healthy holiday morning, a fun community atmosphere, and the satisfaction of earning your Thanksgiving feast alongside thousands of your neighbors.
