Yesterday I was clever so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise so I am changing myself." This quote by Rumi sums up my approach to therapy. We deal with change daily. Change requires us to face our fears and anxiety, feel the sadness and anger of loss, and move towards growth. Change is the most normal part of life. But change is difficult and painful. Dealing with change means we must face grief, depression, anxiety, fear, anger and other emotions. Transition periods bring a lot of disturbance and learning to identify and communicate our needs is essential in adapting to those changes.
I provide compassionate, humorous, and honest therapy to adults in PA who want to understand their past, change habits and perspectives that hold you back, and develop health relationships. I am passionate about helping others to live a complete and whole life. We all experience traumas and difficulties daily. Most of the time we can cope just fine; however sometimes life overwhelms us and leaves us stuck. That’s where I come in! I hold the space and time sacred for you to process the negatives, explore and express your emotions, and decide on action that helps move you forward. We will use curiosity, mindfulness, and other techniques to explore new perspectives, identify your strengths, and develop a whole self. I focus on exploring the mind, body, and spirit to aid in creating a unified whole that each client is excited and proud to be.
Therapy can be scary. We often think of it negatively. I hope to change that mindset. Therapy is a relationship and a conversation. I hold this space and time sacred for you. Its a safe space to process emotions, purge thoughts and gain new perspective, learn skills and be supported. I listen and we come up with an action plan that you are comfortable and excited to work on. Being a healthy functioning adult is about knowing who you are and what you need! And then being able to communicate that to others. I specialize in trauma, grief, and healthy relationships. To be healthy we first must care for ourselves. That is my goal for you and I am excited to be a part of your journey.
