About this event
The Longest Day is the Alzheimer's Association's annual day of activity held on the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, to honor the strength and endurance of people facing Alzheimer's and other dementias. Rather than a single event, it's a nationwide series of community-organized activities: participants and teams pick an activity they love, from group walks, yoga, and bike rides to card tournaments, cook-offs, and craft days, and do it on or around the solstice to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support, and research. Anyone can take part for free, whether hosting a small gathering, joining a friend's activity, or doing something solo. It's a flexible, all-ages way for communities to come together, support caregivers and families, and shine a light on the fight to end Alzheimer's. Sign up and find ideas or nearby activities through the Alzheimer's Association.
