Columbus Zoo Lantern Festival

The Columbus Zoo Lantern Festival returns to light up the zoo with more than 70 sets of glowing, larger-than-life LED lantern displays celebrating Asian culture and the animal kingdom. Held Thursday through Sunday evenings from late August into late October, gates open at 7:30 p.m. and the illuminated walk continues until 10:30 p.m. Visitors stroll the zoo after dark surrounded by brilliantly lit animal scenes and cultural displays, a magical experience for families and couples alike. This is a ticketed evening event separate from daytime zoo admission, so buy tickets in advance for the date you want. Dress for the weather since it's an outdoor walking experience.
