About this event
Every Saturday through mid-November, the tree-lined grounds around the Wisconsin State Capitol host the largest producer-only farmers' market in the country. Only the people who grow or make the goods can sell them, so you will find just-picked Wisconsin produce, cheese and curds, meat, eggs, flour, flowers, and fresh baked goods straight from the source. Locals treat the slow loop around the Square as a weekend ritual, coffee in hand, sampling as they go. Admission is free and the market runs rain or shine. Arrive early for the best selection, bring cash and reusable bags, and take transit since downtown parking fills fast on market mornings.
