China Lights: Legends Come Alive

China Lights returns to Boerner Botanical Gardens for a ninth year with a new theme, Legends Come Alive, transforming the Hales Corners gardens with more than 40 giant, handcrafted, illuminated lanterns. Wander glowing pathways past larger-than-life sculptural displays, including new additions like a unicorn-filled forest and a coral reef corridor, with live stage performances, cultural displays, a marketplace, and East-West fusion food along the way. It runs Tuesdays through Sundays with staggered timed entries at 5:30, 7:00, and 8:30 p.m., each opening a 90-minute window to enter. Tickets are required and timed, so buy in advance and dress for cool autumn evenings.
