About this event

The Wellness Initiative for Senior Education (WISE) is a free-standing, six-week educational program presented by Lehigh County Aging and Adult Services for adults age 60 and older. Meeting on Thursdays from October 8 through November 12 at a community location in New Tripoli, the series guides older adults through the fundamentals of healthy aging in a supportive group setting. Across the six weekly sessions, participants explore lifestyle choices that promote well-being, ways to reduce common health risks, and how medications can affect the body differently as people age. The curriculum is built around a positive message of celebrating this stage of life rather than fearing it, while also fostering friendships and a sense of community among attendees. Sessions run from 10:00 AM to noon each week, giving participants time to learn, ask questions, and connect. Because it is offered through a county aging-services office, it is a trustworthy, community-oriented resource for seniors who want practical, empowering tools to stay healthy and engaged. Registration is handled through Eventbrite.
