Capital Region Heart Walk

The American Heart Association's Capital Region Heart Walk, a family-friendly community walk held on Harrisburg's City Island to promote cardiovascular health and raise awareness of heart disease and stroke. Heart Walks bring together families, workplace teams, survivors and supporters for an accessible group walk, along with health information, activities and a celebratory, community atmosphere. The event encourages physical activity and heart-healthy habits while raising funds for research and education. It is open to the public and welcoming to all ages and fitness levels. A wholesome, motivating morning combining movement, awareness and community on the scenic island in the Susquehanna River.
