About this event

Hoffmann Hospice, in partnership with the City of Lancaster, invites the community to its annual Light Up a Life remembrance ceremony on The BLVD in downtown Lancaster. Gathering at 6 p.m. in the soft glow of candlelight, staff, families and neighbors honor the memories of loved ones who have passed with a reading of names, holiday music, the lighting of a memorial tree, and an evening of warm camaraderie. The event is free to attend and open to the entire community; guests are invited to place a symbolic light on the tree with a suggested donation of $10 for each person being honored. Holidays can be a difficult time for those who are grieving, and this heartfelt tradition offers comfort, connection and a chance to remember together rather than alone. The setting on Lancaster's lively downtown boulevard makes it easy to attend, and the ceremony's blend of music, remembrance and community warmth provides solace during the season. Dress for the evening chill and come ready to reflect, remember and be surrounded by a caring community.
