San Diego Kids Free October

San Diego Kids Free is a month-long program each October in which more than 100 attractions across the region offer free or discounted admission, meals or activities for kids when accompanied by a paying adult. Participating spots typically span Balboa Park museums, the zoo and major theme parks down to smaller cultural venues, tours and eateries, so families can plan a whole month of low-cost outings. Offers vary by venue and often require a printed or digital pass, so it's worth checking the official list and downloading vouchers before you go. It's an ideal way for local families to explore museums and attractions they might not otherwise splurge on, especially during fall weekends. Availability, blackout dates and reservation requirements differ by attraction, so confirm details for each place you plan to visit.
