About this event
Now in its 49th year, the Dana Point Turkey Trot is one of the nation's largest and most scenic Thanksgiving morning races, drawing thousands of runners, walkers and families to the harbor before the holiday feasting begins. Choose from a 5K, 10K, a Combo 15K (both races), or the Kids' 1-Mile Gobble Wobble, all on a festive, USA Track & Field-certified course along the water. The morning is as much a community celebration as a race, complete with a costume contest, a health and fitness expo, music and a lively holiday atmosphere. This is a paid event, and proceeds support local charitable causes, so every entry gives back to the community. Strollers and all fitness levels are welcome, making it an easy tradition to share with the whole family. Register in advance online to secure your spot and packet. Arrive early for parking near Dana Point Harbor, soak up the seaside scenery, and start your Thanksgiving with movement, fresh air and neighborly cheer.
